Did you ever hear a song that starts out good, and the first verse is incredible, and then for the chorus the tempo changes and becomes fucking awful?

was good live when i seen them in mon city. they played w/ bane
it starts up as a heavier but fairly straightforward (almost grunge) cover of a Tears for Fears song, then all of a sudden everything sounds like Slipknot.
