I left early because of two corded tires, so I am the first to post an after the event thread Good event, as much track time as we wanted but unfortunately a huge miscommunication caused a big controversy. TMP is teasting for sound, and they do it in a way that is no longer used by sanctioning bodies because it is inaccurate. Also they did not print in the contract what the testing procedure was or what the decible limit is. Well the procedure is stand 10 feet away from the car while the driver revs the engine in neutral. Two people failed this test (who would have passed SCCA, NASA, EMRA testing) and spent the rest of the day trying to quiet their cars. Bad policy on TMP’s part.
My car was under the limit and here is a video of a few laps, the track is pretty technical with nice fast corners and tricky slow ones. Some of them I didn’t get the hang of yet, more time needed for that. The car handles beautiful, braked are improved but still not great, and it needs better oil cooling (already has a cooler and a huge filter) I could only do 5 hard laps before the temp climbed over 300 degrees. Water temp was fine though. Also it grinds into 2nd gear, probably was overlooked when the tranny was rebuilt for the track as most tracks would not require 2nd…TMP does.

I’ll have to wait until nissannx sends me the video to figure out my best time. He was taping on what felt like my best runs so I can use that. I was happy with my performance, I was able to hang with some much faster and better prepped cars, at least until I started over heating and had to go to cruise mode on the straight to give the car a chance to cool off.
dude i’m so jealous of you guys! i’m stuck in shitty pa for a few more weeks plus the last project i had i spent all my cash on and it blew it so now i have no car to race with but i’d atleast like to come spectate… thanks for posting a what looks like a great time.
Yeah, I shot two cameras but I havent even looked at them yet. I’m gonna charge them up and probably transfer them today. Need to work to work on the car though.
