Who’s going ? We’ll see what the 88 can run on street tires.
i might pop up with a couple others.
I was debating it.
well if choko is going I will stop out
I made some test hits last night with the extra shot. Car should go good tomorrow.
It actually took me a few seconds to figure out which track you guys were talking about… :ham:
… Next year it will probably have a different name again, lol.
^^3 year agreement from what I understand.
i’ll be there as usual, running the sled.
How’d u guys run?
9-10 is today…
What time does it start / end?
Im pretty fed up with EBRP. Their track prep is terrible. My 60ft at TMP was 1.75ish vs 1.9-2.1 @ ebrp, and my best et at ebrp was 8.71.
Same tires, same setup, hotter day, and I managed 8.22 at TMP.
In addition, my car shouldnt be above 250whp, yet at EBRP I spin 1st, half of 2nd and chirp 3rd
At TMP I hook by the middle of the 60 foot.
WAHHHH WAHHHHH WAAAAAHHHHHHH.
Get your car setup right and you wont be spinning so bad.
i’m cutting 1.30 60 ft’s in the right lane and 1.32 60 ft’s in the left lane. and i’m still doing this on a tuesday night. hell last week a bike that was lined up next to me cut a 1.27 60 ft in the left lane. for comparison, other sleds there with similar setups are in the 1.4-1.6 60 ft range, because they havent figured out how to make it work yet.
also keep in mind the track at lancaster is UPHILL because of the oval. you will see a pretty noticible difference in 1/8 mile times elsewhere compared to lancaster because of this.
granted there are other issues at lancaster that i am not going to get into about, blaming the track for your inability to make it hook is rather lame. track prep is still decent.
Thanks for pointing this out, never knew why my time was consistently slower there
Im no professional, and im running a car with basic mods and street tires, but i see a consistant difference of .5 to .7 seconds between EBRP and TMP with no difference in the cars setup or drivers skill.
The temp and humidity index were to DTRPs favor as well.
I am also biased due to policies and actions in the past with their stock car program that have affected myelf and my friends.
You mean it was cooler with less humidity and your car on street tires spun more??
NO WAY!
There are so many variables with traction at the track you could have went after some FWD that dragged water on the track, You could have been not lined up properly in the groove, etc
I am comparing 50+ runs at EBRP. Not just one. I know where the groove is, and i know on wednesdays they run you out of it so the kids with snow tires dont tear it up. I have run tuesdays and wednesdays, in all sorts of weather conditions.
My best time in +15-20 runs with this setup at ebrp was an 8.71 with a mid to low 1.8 rollout.
My first run ever run at TMP was a 12.976 @103 with a low 1.7 rollout and a 8.23 1/8.
At tmp I know my car will go faster. At lancaster my IC was cool, at tmp it was heat soaking and i had to keep running back to back runs on a very hot day. With a fan on the IC and some playing with launch rpms, tire pressure, shock rebound etc i believe i can touch 8.1 on the 1/8 and mid 12.8s on the 1/4. I will never see that time at EBRP on street tires.
A .2 difference in 60ft will not get you a .5-.7 difference in et in 1/8th mile. At most it will make a difference of ~.3-.4.
You’re ignoring the fact that Lancaster is an uphill track which has a larger effect on et.
Why does it got to be hot as balls and humid as shit!
I agree to disagree. Believe it or not I respect you guys and your opinions. My opinion is just that, not based on scientific fact. I felt that my car hooked miles better on just that one day than it had ever even hinted at in the past 5 years of running at lancaster.
Im sure track prep is not the only variable here.
No matter where you run have fun, thats what it is really all about.
im guna go up friday when its 50 degrees my car dosent like heat and humidity
