I would LOVE to see this happen. I really feel that a highspeed rail corridor between NYC and Buffalo would open up the whole state to increased commerce and development.

 that would be sick!
Ghey that the eastern seaboard isn’t connected to the midwest, but I guess a couple hundred miles of standard rail isn’t so bad.
But yeah that sounds pretty sweet. I would definitely take it to see my sister in law in Boston.
I think it would make sense to at least have an express line to connect Cleveland, Chicago, etc with the Empire line.
I like.
But they should have at least one coast-to-coast route. There are still people out there that won’t fly.
I’d be amazed if this happened. But it would def rock.
This would be perfect if they could get this moving asap.
This could be that public work project that could employ thousands.
Word. A hi speed run from NY to LA would make Woody Guthrie cry tears of joy from the grave.
I guess the “money” is there. What we need now is the cooperation of the politicians to get projects moving and start using the funds.
Cooperation among politicians may be a tall order around here though :meh:
Great. So it’ll get the Mexicans from Texas to the rest of the country faster. How about we just stop digging our debt deeper?

Sounds like another great way to waste money
really?
this is actually a really cool idea.
Yes, really. Cool, maybe…necessary, I don’t think so.
We can merge this the “airline bailout thread” when it gets created.
Did you even read the article? This is a great Idea
International and coast-to-coast are where the money is…they don’t make money on $59 flights from Buffalo to NYC.
Yes, I did.
Of all the people who have said so far this is such a great idea…If it does get built, I’ll bet 1 out of 10 will actually use it.
It seriously blows my mind that anybody would be against modern rapid mass-transit in this country. :spank:
I would love HSR to NYC for cheap.
:wstupid:
