Yo, the event was off the hook!
A lot of nice cars and people, Drift Mania professional series really knows how to organize their events smooth. I had an awesome time there, meeting all the drivers and staff, everyone was very respectful and friendly which made everything feel great. I’d like to thank Kendrick Fong for making sure I got everything ready in time and my crew for helping me out in general, getting there and back, etc. Falken Tires Ross Petty and Calvin Wan were there as well as Alex Pfeiffer and Andy from Formula D who were judging. The judging was point based and the rules were explained to us very clearly as to what is being judged and everyone had time to ask questions.
My car had no major problems and performed great. I’d like to thank Dan from U2NDyno for doing a great job tuning my setup and Sasha Anis from SG-Motorsports for fitting me in quickly and making me a gangster SS downpipe.
I placed 8th, which now means I’m a seeded driver, scoring 63 points for that event.
The results are at http://dmccdrift.com/results.shtml
My front wheels are Work Equip 17 x 10.5 -15, with a 25mm spacer, which makes them -40, they didnt rub or touch any of my body panels while on the track, very happy with the size. I need to get a couple of proper sized wheel sets for the back of my car, I’d like to get 17 x 9.5 -50, 17 x 10.5 -25, 18 x 9.5 -50 because 18 x 9 -15 with a 25mm spacer which makes x 9 -40 look sunken.
Next event is Montreal’s St-Eustache on June 29th, definitely going to be there.
