my 1992 civic throws a cel light, the cel light is the vtec solenoid. the vtec solenoid does work because when i hook it up hard wired it works. the wire out of the computer is only see 9.2 volts, instead of 12 volts. Can anybody throw some ideas out to me.

the fuses from the computer.
the solenoid.

check continuity from the soleniod to the ecu plug, checking if the wire is good. there is a way to check the solenoid itself, but i’ll have to dig a service manual up…
The continuity is good, no problems. i even ran another wire to be sure. Pin A4 (the solenoid) shows the reading of 9.2. I was thinking about a voltage drop with the length of the wire, but it would have to be much longer to have a drop like that. i checked the solenoid it is in working order.
