there’s a recall on that switch. go to autohaus and it should be replaced at no cost to you.
Thanks for the tip. Turned out the switch had already been replaced under the recall once by the previous owner so I had to fork out the 11 bucks for it. Hopefully they got the design right this time. Oh well, they replaced a recalled hazard switch too while I was there for free.
