I got to talk with Keith Alexander(Director of NSA) a few months ago seems the NSA, DoD, DHS, and lots of people want to give hackers jobs 
Government, defense contractors, and private industry are really hurting for talent right now and all pay pretty well.
Turn on the news offensive security is getting huge.
Ya they used to throw people in jail and now they give people jobs working for the government. Kinda also generated the mass number of people wanting to make a name for themselves as well now.
