There probably aren’t a whole lot of fake Hamiltons out there. They’re not expensive or well known enough for it to be a profitable venture.
What kind of sketchy vendors are you looking at?
certified watch store on amazon (that link will go to it). they dont offer the manuf. warranty, just their own.

It seems weird to me that none of the well known places like jomashop or authenticwatch.com (or even amazon not through a 3rd party) have it available, yet i cant find it for sale used either.
Where do you all recommend going in the area for bracelet sizing, repairs, anything of that sort? Will any place be OK sizing a bracelet? And what should I expect to pay to have a link or two removed if needed?
just buy a $15 tool kit off ebay and size things yourself.
like bing said, invest a kit and you will get unlimited sizing or minor repairs. you can also use youtube as a reference.
watch sizing is mostly done as a courtesy at a jewellery store. if you bought the watch there that is one thing but if you didnt then you’re just being a nuisance.
plus if you do it yourself you can be more finicky with it until you get the perfect fit. you can play with removing or adding links and then also using the finer adjustment points in the clasp. to do it right will take you 20 minutes or so of going back and forth.
having a nice watch that is too loose is a waste of a nice watch if it’s jangling around on your arm.
