picked up a super avenger for a colleague and a new bracelet for that Flying B we bought last year. both from Harmony Jewellers in Grimsby.

Tried on an IWC 5001 that he brought in for me to look at too… no comment

I’ve tried the super avenger. the size is beefy and it fits nicely with bigger wrist.

Sam, do you know this local watch hustler dude named lyndon?

i ran into him at the flea market on Walden… yes i stopped in there and i’m not ashamed…

the guy had crap in on a table in front of a van but when he saw my speedmaster he showed me all the omega’s, rolex’s, B&R’s etc. etc. that he had in a video camera bag in the back of his buddy’s mini-van… full paper work and all. In fact, he went to get other watches to show me and left me standing there by myself with $100k in watches sitting right in front of me with no one looking. it was pretty awesome actually.

he had one of these:

aqua terra, speedy day date with silver bezel, B&R chrono, vintage rolex sub, and some other vintage stuff is all i remember seeing.

this dude just popped into my had for some reason… no one around here knows who he is?

i’d like to get back in touch with the guy. we exchanged emails but i dont have them saved for some reason.

My first watch ever - Orient Mako Blue. Had it about 4 months now. Spent $20 out of pocket, had an amazon GC. Has a small scratch on the glass now, and the bracelet is pretty scratched up on the clasp. I’ve had it out camping in winter, played pond hockey with it on, rain, etc. Hasn’t missed a beat, and I actually don’t mind the scratches. Love the fact it’s an automatic.

Love the watch. I browse watchuseek regularly. Probably looking to add a few more affordable watches to my collection sooner rather than later… however also saving up for a house.
