LOL
I tried this on in paris, but couldn’t justify the money after spending a couple weeks in Kenya.
I also liked the new oris big crown propilot altimeter
Oris is good value… Chopard can be had for deep discounts from what i’ve seen.
No I won’t be going two-tone. One of my colleagues wears a 2 tone GMT II i believe and i keep hearing from clients about his ‘gold rolex’ from people who don’t understand it’s really not a $15k watch.
i’d probably go with a stainless white or black face… really i’m mostly concerned about the deal. something with all the paperwork, recent service and for the right price… i can be patient and wait.
I almost had one for $6k cdn this summer from a friend of a friend but the guy’s wife wouldnt let him that would have been sweet
6k would be the deal of all deals on a SS Daytona.
yes it would have been.
i’m confident i’ll eventually find one from a guy who doesnt want to go through the trouble of selling it on kijiji, ebay or consigning it. probably not that cheap though.
Now that’s really cool!
Meh, I’m not even that big into the scene and I could find someone within 10 minutes to buy a Daytona (sight unseen) for $9,000+.
I love the Daytona, my biggest gripe is the lack of date. 50% of the time that I’m looking at my watch, it’s for the date.
I 100% agree with you on this.
I might let the white daytona go.
i know but you want a fair market price for it, which you are entitled to… I want to wait for a steal for the story
maybe find some guy going bankrupt or going through a divorce and needing cash he can hide from his wife
Gramps has a nice Rolex. It’s an all gold presidential with 12 diamonds on it, some sort of limited edition I remember him saying. Believe he paid ~$30k for it back in the 80’s. Nice piece for sure.
PM me what you’re looking for and what your price range is.
Here is a cool article.
Record setting watch sale at 24.4 million $
Successful bidder: Terry Pegula
Only time it can’t display is when the Sabres will post their next win.
If it’s real, he made a mistake pricing it. You can’t touch a BLNR/Batman for less than $8k. You can’t even get a random serial GMT-II for under $7k.
@Beck are there any tell tale signs of it being a fake before even going to a jeweler to authenticate it?
maybe something where I can ask for specific pics or serial numbers to avoid me wasting an hour drive each way just to find out its a sham
No chance that’s legit.
if it’s legit (which it’s probably not), it’s already been sold
post the pics on a watch forum and someone can probably give you a good idea. but like most good deals on craigslist, if it’s that good of a deal, it probably was sold within the hour.
i wouldnt even bother with that… there are no swans to be had like that ($2k rolex on craigslist)
