Watch geeks help me plzzzzz

Ok so its my dads 50th christmas and i want to get him a nice watch and i dont know really any names of any really good companies except for like rolex. i have a few nice watches but i bought them all at guess and they dont have that wide of a selection. I am willing to spend maybe between $500-$800 on it so throw as many names as possible at me and i will research them. Also any good websites or watch stores in the area would be nice.

nice watches thnks man

tag heuer, citizen, movado, omega, breitling, these should provide a nice selection…Patek Philippe(just kidding about this one)

What is the watch going to be used for? ie formal, casual/occasional, everyday use. Great gift for your dad btw a nice watch is great. Online can get you a watch much cheaper then in a store. But that being said they are aware of this and you can get them to come down on price for you. It took me three days of shopping and deal making but i just ended up buying a new daily citizen eco-drive that they wanted $500 and i ended up walking out with it for $270.

If it is for daily use in that price range i think i have some product numbers of watches i was looking at. They were all between $450-$600 but could be had for $250-$400 if looked hard enough for.

bought a movado last year for my gf at jomashop online. Great dealer, perfect watch.

They even wrapped it for me.

ya im really likein movado, i might even get one for myself lol.

Shut up you didnt even get a holiday bonus psssh. Answer my damn questions and i you really want a mavado i got a connection for you to try out. Look at the 800 series i like them. But i dont what type of watch you are looking for. Also for cheaper i think the ESQ watches are nice(owned by movado IIRC). I think im going to grab this as another daily abuse watch. http://www.bluedial.com/07301212.htm

my dad has purchased from Blue Dial a bunch of times (mainly for work).

i have always lke the tag hauer watches

Ive never bought from them but did hear they were good. I have a good connection local that will beat online prices for me. Im not sure if the person can do much for others but i can ask. Im sure she can atleast do 25-30% off asking.

Ok guys i sent my source an e-mail asking what the best she can do for people i know would be. Ill let you know once she responds. I like buying at a store so that when i need something or break something i can take it in to a store. With enough looking around and talking to people you can get very close to online prices right from a store no problem. It is worth it IMO to maybe pay a few bux more to get it locally but thats just me.

i’ve yet to find a store (especially in buffalo) that will come even close to deals you can get on the net.

The movado I bought online was 263 that included a professional gift wrap job and 2 day shipping, no tax.

Same one at the jewelry store in the mall is 425 all day long.

Its a no brainer.

You are right but if you can find someone to let you buy with their discount OMG i wont even say how much i have saved. But for the norm online prices are the best. BTW i talked to her and she said about 25% off which wont touch internet prices unless it is a brand new model. Like this month new.
