if im changing the waterpump for my dohc ka24de, does hte waterpump need a gasket?.. does waterpumps come with gaskets?.. i called the nissan parts guy… and he told me theres no gaskets for the waterpump for ka’s… but i dont belive him cuz he was hesitating… and sum guys ont he forum says there is a gasket for the waterpump. so im confused… the nissan guy says. i jus need silicone…kinda wierd. can anyone help me out?.. and btw…where can i get a waterpumnp gasket and. i need to buy a water pump

i use ultra-grey from canadian tire because i hate having orange shit all over my motor it looks like its put together with playdoe
my rebuilt one came with a gasket, however I dont think there was one there when I took it off. I put the new one one with some copper gasket, works fine.
the three water pumps i had to do (one Sr and 2 KA) all 3 required i made the gasket with gasket maker (go fig :roll: ) u can find it at any crapy tire good luck
