Went car shopping

Ahh Mr. Uppity Clark… I see your point … but I am looking for something a bit more exotic looking… though the 911 is far superior in all aspects.

After staying up to four am… I have found what I hope to be my next car. Discussions will start today, though the car may or may not happen…and it may be a while or not.

I could have swore it was an error in the site when I saw that you were also on when I glanced down at 3 a.m. :lol

Factory Five does have a few interesting models, although I’m sure you wouldn’t be interested in their Cobra car.

How does the Attack Kit car perform? I know the looks are stunning, the build price is cheap, the mid engine layout is a plus. The suspension design is half decent but they use underpowered motors. I guess you could go the Atom route (since it’s decently light) and either throw an Ecotec or K20 in there.

K1 Attack Kit car

K1 Attack is based on the Accord right?

It’s not based on an Accord, it uses an accord as a donor car for the items they didn’t feel like designing and making such as interior pieces and cluster IIRC. The bay is also designed to take one of the Accord motors (H22), however I’m sure chassis wise there is no resemblance with an accord.

I haven’t looked into it in a while though.

Why would you build a car that looks something like a Bugatti Veyron and then power it with the motor from grandma’s grocery getter?

balance, its very light and it handles very well, therefore it would make a great track car, track as in turns, now 1/4 mile ;D

To save the 700k lol … I like all these crazy lil cars, but I am currently thinking that quality matters a little… .so it’s gonna take some research.

SL-C

So unique
Track worthy
Under $80K
Creature comforts on the way to and back from track
Has to actually make it to and back from track
Streetable

Any other criteria?

That K1 Attack is badass. All it needs is Swifty’s motor and it would be a monster.

Actually the H22 is from a prelude, for that car the engine is sleeved and fully built with a turbo. So brook’s car with .6L more displacement

It is swifts motor.

H22s were also found in Accords over in Europe and Japan. And swapping an H22 into an Accord here is a drop in deal, since the H-series engines were a derivative of the F-series engines (or vice versa, I forget). And I ment Swifty’s motor specifically…but since they come with a sleeve’d, turbo’d setup, I guess it sorta is.

Sounds like everything a Z06 (except maybe unique) is but he doesnt want one.

The original ones had the H22… it looks like they do make them with the F22 as well. From some quick research it appears people also put in porche, LS1, and rotary engines.

It being a kit you can probly put just about whatever you want in it.

Vlad, thats the basic criteria… it will see the track periodically for giggles, but looking for a solid weekend cruiser with enough get up and go that I wont be embarrassed by someone like swift from between redlights (yay me for traction). I’m not looking for 1000 hp… the car will likely be under 2500 lbs whatever it is so it wont take much to make it scoot.

I’m torn on body…as the suspension has to resemble a superior performance car, the look must be exotic, the interior more plush than most kits and then I will back it with some throat/odd sound I hope.

It’s pretty important it doesnt look like some odd replica / junk kit deal… it must maintain the quality from start to finish… which probably means more cost… ugg

I would love to see options, though I think I’m 90% there.

::slight_smile: :lol
