Long story short, I was at the dealer, assuming I was buying an A5. They had me test drive the S5 and my panties got so wet when I pushed the start button I had to go out and search for a B7 S4 to tide me over.
I didn’t feel like spending $60k+ on the S5 since there aren’t really any on the used market yet. I figure this will hold me over for a year or two and then I’ll pull the same maneuver and trade in for a low mileage S5.
HAHAHAHAHAH FU man I was totally thinking to myself the other day that I would drive my M5 for a year or two and then grab an S5 unless I really like whatever new M5 comes out. I can not stand the current ones.
looks really good dude. any plans to lower it? keeping the stock wheels on? exhaust? were you serious about getting the awe/vf supercharger when its released?
Depends on where I am in a year or so, if I feel like keeping the car I probably will. I’m sure it would make it an absolute beast. In all likelyhood I’ll probably be looking to move to an S5 which would eat the SC budget. Most likely scenario would be picking up a kit used a few years after they come out. Don’t know if I’d feel like droping $15k on a ‘mod’ these days.
Will likely do an exhaust, waiting for a ride in a Fast Intentions car to decide.
ive got kw v3’s and they ride just as good as stock its amazing. ive never dropped serious coin on coils and after putting these in i realize i shoudl have done this a long time ago. makes riding in a lowered car manageable.
the supercharged 4.2 in our cars pulls multiple buses on a stock rs4 and im sure the same on the s5. it is soooo tempting…
where are you located i have a FI catback on my avant…
I want it to be quiet though… not everyone does. I’d like louder than stock that doesn’t start to affect the interior noise levels. From what I hear the FI exhaust does a good job of that. We’ll see. My buddy in Chicago has one… need to plan a trip up there anyway.
If you look at the first picture, where the headlight meets the corner of the fender, it starts to drop from there, those front ends have a lot of adjustment in them, from where the rebar bolts to the frame all the way to the headlights. Its not a big deal but it is fixable, well of course, if it has been hit it may be as close as it can get. I have spent hours trying to get those cars to adjust, and sometimes you just make it even and hope the owner doesnt realize. most people notice dis-symmetry. I wouldnt worry about it until you have the front end off.
