And came home with this at lunch today.
2013 GTI Drivers Edition, 8500 miles. Figure my last two GTIs have been good, why not get another. Ill probably turn it over to my daughter in 6-7 years.

Drivers addition? As opposed to what? lol
should have gotten a passenger edition lol
nice car!
as opposed to drivers subtraction.
EDIT: but really its 1 of 3000 built in white, grey, and black in 13. Loaded up, leather, roof, nav, hid, etc. Red stitching on the wheel, shifter, seatbelts, mats. Im loving it in the 6 miles I put on so far. DSG is fun.

I loved my CW MK6 GTI, I will buy another some day for a daily.
Congrats!
Hrmm, I opted for a 2011 CPO a3 with s-line and sports interior 6speed. I certainly considered this however. Congrats!
Nice, so now you have a VW in your big ass garage? LOL
X…
Ya. Currently. 2 GTIs, a Cabriolet, an Allroad, a Silverado, and the Cavy. Oh and my moms Z4 is here too. Lol. Its the country used car lot.
Dan
Oddly enough I just bought a silverado. Haha

Nice!
Hah nice. I guess I just need a P car now?

loved my gti
Apparently Ive never updated this thread.
From last August 22nd:
Tint, clear corners, yellow fogs.
Installed these cheapo stick on paddle extensions to see how I like them. The OE ones are just way to short to use with any comfortable hand position. So far I love them but will likely upgrade to some billet ones since these are pretty cheezy with the near pink writing and the whole stick on situation. But for 25 bux they are getting it done, for now.
Since then I did nothing but put gas in it and do my first oil change. However last week it started again:
Stealthy garage door opener. I stole the idea from here: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4943379-DIY-Garage-door-opener-for-your-MK6-stealth
Pics:
All glued and soldered up
Switch blank cut to allow sweet switching action
Installed in console. Had enough room to 3M double side tape mount the opener to the console.
Boom. like it never happened. Works minty.
And then this past weekend:
Mark came over sat and we spent ~4 hours polishing the car and then sealing it with Carpro HydrO2. Its like magic. Amazing that you can just spray something on a wet car, hose it off, and get these results.
Yesterday I cleaned up and sealed the summer OE wheels. Again, I was amazed.
Then I de-wintered the gas pedal.
I still need to clean the rest of the interior up but the outside should be set. Although Id like to clean and seal the wheel wells yet. Maybe in a week or two after I get the Allroad and Silverado cleaned up.
Also removed the GTI badge.

Great looking car.
wow, that sealant product is cool. 2 questions about it:
how long does it last?
how much of the $70 bottle does it take to do the whole car?
GTI looks awesome
I bought the 100mL (3.4oz) bottle for $20. You mix the stuff with water 3:1 or more. I used ~1oz to seal the car. I used another 1 teaspoon mixed with water for the wheels.
Pretty much you can do 3 cars with the one 100mL bottle.
EDIT: @neonglh did his car with it last fall. After the winter we had and quite a few laser washes its still beading up.
EDIT2: I got it from here, where I tend to get lots of my supplies CarPro HydrO2 Concentrate - 100 ml - Detailed Image
And thanks! Im loving it.
Dan
Yup, I sealed my car in October with HydrO2, and drove it all winter, went to laster washes and sometimes washed it in my garage with ONR. This was last week:
It’s starting to lose it’s beading, but that’s the only thing I’ve put on the car since October, so it’s still doing work.
awesome thanks for the info!
Only took 9 months but I finally installed my VW lowering springs and transmission dogbone mount insert.
I dont have a good after pic yet but so far its lowered about an inch. The ride seems good, and they handle great along with the H&R rear swaybar that I did last year.
I may do a 8 or 10mm spacer to finish it off, not sure yet.
Before
After
Up next I have Thunder Bunny side skirts that I had painted last April that I need to install.

looks better
