On my widescreen TV, the local news does not take up the whole picture. When watching a true HD picture, it fills the entire screen.

Real HD, or 4:3 digital with the giant wgrz bars down each side? I only watch the 5 or 6pm news and they still have the bars then.

If you are talking about the HDTV WGRZ bars down the side, THAT IS NOT HD!! and they have been doing that for about 5 months. If it is full screen HD then this is new to me.
