$13/hour, 45 hour week
Wrong. It’s called starting at the bottom and moving up in seniority and benefits.
Im too old for that shit.
Unreal. Literally unreal.
Meh, i was gonna say I’ll let ya know if we have any openings at work, but i think they usually start out drivers at like 12/hr but the hours are 8-430 m-f and the job is a fucking cakewalk driving around in an van delivering parts all day
Im almost 30 and dont want to start out like some fresh out of high school kid again.
Thanks but I really cant afford a pay cut like that. Its hard enough getting by on what I make now.
Look into a driving position that pays better. You’d probably have to (gasp) get a higher class license.
I really dont feel like driving anymore either. I need a complete change. Even now at my current job I prefer to stay in the shop more than going out on the road. Weird because I used to hate staying in the shop.
.
Yeah, unless you get a CDL a normal driving job in this area will probably top out around 15-16hr. I started at my current job at $12 a little over a year ago, was at $13 90 days in, busted my fucking ass, showed some true potential, got offered a promotion when I had less then a year with the company (vs our other employees that have been there 2-5 years) and now make about 40% more.
It’s all how you deal with it. You can sit back in your job, be content and just wait for something to fall in your lap or go out and take that shit
Like I said I want a complete change, not just the same type thing.
I bust my ass at my current job but dont get anything out of it. Just get fucked over harder because I show up and can actually do my job. I got a raise a few months ago but raises dont come often when you work for somebody that doesnt like to spend money.
Right now he owes me for 27 hours of overtime.
Being a linen delivery driver CANNOT be that hard
cannot what?
Ok, so Jellies-
1)Hate’s his job
2)Wants a complete change
3)Is too old to start over at the bottom
4)Won’t ‘settle’
5)Will only work certain hours/shifts, despite other possible benefits.
:dunno
Bi-Winning??
When i was laid off I only looked for jobs 9-5 m-f. I got spoiled at my old job working tues-fri, but I’d work 50+ hrs.
I haven’t worked weekends in about 6 years now and it would take A LOT to get me to do so again.
Paul… start playing the lottery ALOT.
50 hours is normal for me.
I havent worked weekends in a few years (I did it at this job) and I hated it so I wont do it again unless Im filling in for somebody (like last Saturday).
hey paul, become and escort driver, make .50 a mile with the companys car and gas, or get your own car/gas and get paid 1.25/mile, they drive 800-1000+ miles a week…get your own car and thats not a bad amount of money if you dont mind driving…
