My bench racing skills say 142hp @ 2530lbs gets beat by 160hp @ 2744lbs Especially for the fact that a few horses are probably missing on the 94 due to the age… the SI also has a better curve to its power due to the .4L more and Vtak.

03 SI i-VTEC < b series Vtec
the 03 civic si’s have the same econobox VTEC system used in the CRV’s and accords k24’s. this system only opens 1 intake valve to create a swirl for low load conditions, and then engages both valve for “vtec”. not nearly as potent as the K20a’s Ivtec heads which open both intake valves and then the more aggresive lobe engages.
The only minus about the civic is that it weighs alot more. I think with a bolted on integra and stock SI from a dig should be a good race.
200 lbs is hardly a lot. Negligible weight loss for the car could make that up without an appearance change.
because i had the integraLS DOHC nonvtak with header, exhaust, cold air and i sold it for a 03 civic si …dont have the si yet…i should be getting it this weekend…the Si has vtec controller and cold airm and first thing ill buy is header
