i had my hair cut in La Jola last summer… $12 (or maybe it was $13)… but I know I had a $20 bill, tipped 4 or 5 bucks, and had enough for a Rockstar energy drink…
Then you’d know it was La Jolla…
You also should have payed attention to my wording.
The most extraordinary STYLIST. Not some random ‘barber’
Who goes to La Jolla to get a haircut anyway?
…missed an “L”.
if you weren’t a noob, you’d know i spend at least a month every summer in the La Jolla UTC. My point was that you can find a good $15 cut in even the most pretentious places.
his reasoning was “it’s the going price”
… not to mention he said he was only charging me 25 a pop and he dropped it to 20… i still give him a 10 tip… that way when i call adn ask if there is an open time, they make time. he laughed because he’s used to woman that take hours to do shit… but the example was the lady in there now… she got a wash / cut / color / style and it was going to cost her ‘over $200 with a tip’.
-
the point of this wasn’t to see how many of you cut your own hair… it was to see if 30 was too much… which it seems most of you think it is. not to mention that i had already said i cut my own hair… i used to from highschool through college… but i can no longer look like a bum that cuts his own hair
-
turns out this is a salon downtown… so that’s why it’s loot… the dude does me a favor…i was looking for a barber and found the first straight guy and went with it.
some perks, the girl that washes my hair was in maxim a couple months back = high maintenance but hot … 2. gets done right… using shears, thinning shears and scissors… plus finishes with a striaght razor.
my haircut > super cuts.
i can go anywhere and eat mcdonalds… but why would i?
off ur sisters cooochy!! =:ban:
most i ever paid was 13 bucks at borics, sometimes i just shave it myself
get tussy to do it!
if either you or i had long enough hair for it to matter, going to a stylist would be justified… but I’ve had $12 cuts and I’ve had $50 cuts and I’ve never noticed a $38 difference in quality of cut on my inch long hair.
i get straight razored… that’s what keeps me coming back!
Arnold the Barber in N.H. Village on McKnight straight razors too… and it’s an $11 cut…
mcknight road and the north hills are my sworn enemy.
-
i work downtown on 3rd and grant… i am not driving to the weak ass north hills fucking around in traffic to go to some barber to save a couple bucks.
-
the point of the thread wasn’t to find a new cheap barber… just wondering the feedback from paying $30 w/tip to get a haircut.
i guess the concensus is that i pay too much. :dunno:
best check yourself for crabs
my sister in law works for phillip pallusi so i get a free cut every once and a while if i go to the shop it cost 20 buck plus tip, normally a five
north hills traffic isn’t that bad.
you’re justification of the north hills is moot…
i.e. you can give up any time.
i’m not giving reasons for you to come here, it’s just tiresome hearing people bitch about north hills traffic when it’s nowhere near as bad as 51 in the South Hills.
I think $30 for a haircut with a straight razor and shears is a fair price… I mean, you can never have your hair cut “too good” but you can always have it cut real bad…
When you’re as ugly as me, you need to save face as much as possible… A good haircut doesnt make me look any better, but thankfully it doesnt make me look any worse either
are you serious?
it’s def as bad because mcknight is 3 lanes with mis-timed lights that usually flow over onto previous lights… not to mention that if you get caught at one light, you’re going to be caught at the next too… PLUS it’s impossible to make it all the way down mcknight without hitting a light not to mention when there’s traffic…
have you driven anywhere up there during rush hour?
