This is incredible.
So these old asians sit in line for 3 days and then sell the phones for a profit for people who didnt want to wait in line?

I heard people could buy the phones the day after release without waiting in line…so people will pay more money and sleep out side just go have them 24hrs before anyone else…its a fucking cellphone lol
It’s exactly what boxxa did, only because WNY is so much smaller the lines weren’t as long and I’m sure the payout wasn’t as big. If he could sell one for $1450 and another for $1250 here imagine the kind of markup they were getting in NYC.
I’m not sure what the problem is here either. People decided, under their own free will, that spending 2 shitty days on a sidewalk to make a quick buck was worth their time. Other people decided that they wanted an item bad enough that they would pay well over retail for it simply because they didn’t want to camp out 2 days or wait a few days after the launch. Is it all stupid? Definitely. That’s the glorious beauty of living in a free society though. We can sit back and go, “wow that’s dumb, but it’s their choice”.
My faith in humanity erodes just a little more.
Apple must be so proud.
Boxxa wasn’t in the “employment” of black market bosses. Most of these poor people (pun intended) were likely given the money to buy the phones, told to wait in line and paid nearly nothing to do so. There was someone collecting the phones from them as they left the store.
These are not enterprising people. They’re simply iPhone mules for whoever is reselling them.
Interesting read:
Bottom line, it’s China’s fault. If they hadn’t dragged their feet clearing it for sale this black market wouldn’t have existed.
I feel the opposite is true. Would I do it? No. But hey, go economy!
I don’t understand the hype with the iPhone 6 especially considering Apple is still using the same 8mp camera since the 4s.
I’m glad apple is one of the only companies to not play the stupid mega-pixel marketing game. They spend their time updating their image sensors instead of just slapping more mega-pixels on the sticker that does nothing but produce larger shitty pictures.
I’ve got a 6.1MP dSLR at home. It must take horrible pictures compared to the 16MP camera in the S5. :roll2:
^this. I wish the companies would focus on improving the image sensor rather than boosting the MP counts. who the fuck is going to blow up a pic shot from a 16MP camera phone…
All this camera talks makes me want to switch back to my Lumia 1020
I miss my Razr from high school
You mean the camera they added a new phone to?
