What to call this?

I don’t even know what to call this if it exists… But basically I want something that will bypass my turbo and connect the turbo manifold to the downpipe. I’m gonna be needing one here as my turbo either needs to be rebuilt or replaced… Not too sure yet.

Good luck… If your turbo needs to be rebuilt your going to have to send her off without your car running. You would have to go back to N/A to drive your car. You can’t bypass the turbo.

Yar that’s what I was afraid of… Fuck. Anyone know what Garrett turbo is comparable to

The GT25 probably eh… I’m probably gonna replace the ITS one with a Garrett since it’s such a whore trying to find anyone who can rebuild this turbo. (by a whore I mean absofuckinglutely no one)

Here’s my current turbo, and what’s wrong with it…

While driving to work yesterday, I had NO boost at all, when I go there I opened it up and found the bent fins. I tried starting it lunch time just to see, and it was spinning again. I think when it heats up the mixture of expanding and the shaft play caused it to grind on the housing…

The bearings crapped out, call a place called Presicion Turbo. Tell them what you want they can reccomend you a turbo.

Equivalent in power to that turbo would roughly be a GT3071R. A 57-trim will make about 500 WHP pushing it to the max.

Depending on the exhaust housing on your turbo you might be able to bolt up a T3 out of a junkyard, if it has the 5-bolt exhaust housing. Take some pics of the housing and post them.

You better get a inline oil filter for your oil feed line too…Would have most likely avoided this problem.

If you want a good ballbearing turbo, get a GT3076R.

I just want it running… So something that can handle 300whp. Other than that I don’t give a fuck. I just need to get to and from work.

Looking at the turbo comparison thing on Garrett’s site looks like the GT2560R will be good for the 300whp mark (says it’s good to 330whp)

The 2560 is actually a GT28R, which is the BB turbo off of the s14 or s15 sr20det. Or for a non BB alternative you could use the pulsar gti-r t28. The are all in the t2 flange of course.

I found out what the problem is with my turbo. The compressor wheel got chewed up quite abit when my car ate a spark plug (that’s what also took out my exhaust valve.) The bearing and everything are fine and dandy. I have pictures I’ll post em later. Gotta go buy some plugs and stuff for my oil and coolant lines so I can drive my car.

And this all happened when driving? How the hell did that motor keep running at all.

Naw. The turbo didn’t run shitty until this Monday. My car was down for 2 weeks while we fixed the exhaust valve. Then went to drive this Monday and my turbo seized. Took it all apart and found the compressor wheel was chewed.

Hey what kind of cars come with the 5 bolt T3 turbos?

i might have a t3 off of a rb25,i will pm u in the next couple days if it works
200$

I also have a friend who is possibly selling his HKS GT2540 balbearing turbo which is a t3 good for up to about 400 whp. PM me if you are interested.

I’m new to the turbo scene and not too sure what the difference are between the turbos… But I do know my current turbo when it was working is a T3/T4 hybrid. Will that affect my tune and everything just having the straight T3? I’m sending my turbo away once I can find either someone to fab me a pipe to go from manifold to downpipe or just another T3 exhaust housing so I can run it the same way I am right now.

That’s the T3? Oi, that won’t work. Or is that a T3/T4? Cuz I see it says T3/T4 on the sign behind it.
