if the track was realy safer, insurance companies wouldnt mind covering you while your at the track … but they dont, because motorsports evenst are a GREAT way to destroy a vehical
do what i did… have the g/f cosign the loan for you and pick up the bike… but make sure the loan is a personal loan so she doesnt CO-OWN the bike ;)… buy the bike and be careful… the g/f will come aorund… if not… screw her… especially if this is something that you are sincerely interested in…

Riding on the streets is way more dangerous than riding on a track. On a race track you have every rider being cautious of other riders. On the streets you have 16 year olds drinking and driving, 80 year olds who cant see, people just not paying attention, people in a hurry, etc.

i hate to say this but…obviously she doesnt love you enough to stay with you over a motor vehicle, thats bullshit especially since you ride motocross and snowcross…i had a similiar situation but i all ready had my bike, she never would tell me, but my friends and her friends would tell me things she said when i rode, but she accepted it and didnt find a different person to like.
theres more girls out there that will accept the bike(they wont like it) but hey you all ready would have it…just my .02

I did the same thing, i didn’t get the whole “the bike or me” BS but she didn’t like the thing until she went on a couple of rides. there should be no question. get the bike. you’re only 18 and you’re not gonna marry this girl, and you’re only young once. you can get it, its what you want to make you happy, and it will be around a long time after her. and if u even have to ask the question about getting the bike or your gf, you are gonna regret that you didnt get the bike later on in life. you’re only young ocne, die with no regrets
