good ideas but Im looking to chop out the oe rails because it doesnt allow the seat to move back far enough :down:
the rails will be the same on the older vw/s and audi. if you need it to go back further, then chop/weld will have to do. all vw seats have that stupid 2 rails and one bolt deal— even the newer ones. difference is between a2 and a3 split, wider rails or something, i forget…
…OOOOOKAY…after spending some time cleaning it up on my day off…The front half of the car is in fantastic condition, but the rusted out floor is deturring my thoughts to actually fix it up and drive it.
Ive had friends quote me a couple hundred to fix it up.
Would anyone be interested in buying it??? 
Or I could stick it up on vortex for them fox fanatics…I dunnoooo baahhh!!
from the pictures you showed, a $20 piece of sheetmetal and a days worth of welding would patch the floors. As long as the strut towers are not f’d and nothing else is rusted out, i’d drive the piss out of it.
I made the mistake of buying a fox that was a light hit in the front for 200 bucks. when i took the fender off, it had cracked the shock tower. needless to say, i wasted 200 bucks.
I don’t think you guys are realizing the concept of how tall Be_Rad is… I’m 6’3" and he makes me feel short… The fucker has to be at least 8’
