Exactly and I know basic non high performance machine shops replace single pistons on a regular basis
i know for a fact that marine cams are a different grind to prevent water from being sucked back into the engine when shut off… as far as reverse rotation and all that i’m not sure. i’ve seen people use marine 350’s in trucks when the truck engine let go, but i’m not sure how it worked out
The newer 350 blocks are way better than the 70’s old school one piece seal 010 block. I ran an 880 block from a 96 truck for years. The later 1 piece seal blocks can accept stroker cranks with less grinding. I still run a late model Bowtie 350 block in my car now with a 1 piece seal.
