I just saw last night on Club Roadster, a full built Spec Miata for $18,000, Ready to Race.

At that price it better have a couple class track records and quite a few podium finishes.

Here is the Rocky Mountain Region winner for $11,5:

Dollar for dollar I’d rather have a car that raced and put away wet than a used car off of the street. With a Japanese car all the maintenance you need to know is how to change the oil, bleed the brakes, and change brake pads. Buy sorted, use the time that you would have spent wrenching driving instead.

I’d say for $6,5 this is a good starting point:
