LOL I agree guys. You don’t buy snow tires to go fast. You buy them to get through snow. Wintersport is an oxymoron.
Everything that makes a snow tire a good winter tire makes it a bad performance tire. So how would that work?

I only bought the M2’s because a member here was selling them super cheap and I had just blown my wad buying the car. I upgraded to the hankook ipikes for the next winter, and currently have blizzak ws-60’s.
My first time using snow tires. Went with the Blizzak WS70’s.
Winterforces ftw! I went through 2 sets with a rwd Silverado.
You will not be disapointed. Great tire. Just take them off when the season is ending, they are very soft and you will wear them out quick in the warmer weather.
Thanks for the warning. Just put them on today, bring on the snow. :headbang:
I agree. I had a set of WS-60’s for 4 yrs and still had 8/32’s left. I would not put them on until it was not averaging above 40° and take them off when it was getting close to that in the spring. Since i have a set of Allseasons i didn’t worry too much about a light snow fall.
Hakkas that carnut mounted for me were PERFECTION today in the snow. RWD trucks spinning their tires at the lights and going no where… I REALLY had to step on it to get the tires to start to spin. Stopping was incredibly quick. More snow will tell how good they are, but so far they blow my old Blizzaks out of the water.
picked up a set of blizzak LM-25’s today. southtowns got a couple inches, very impressed with how they did.
Got to do some big circle drifts around light poles before work early this morning. The studs and rubber love it when there is barely any snow on the ground.
Just got some cooper artic something with studs for my s10 first time using snow tires and studs. Kinda excited. I’ve always used commando ltr all season tires
I have a set of general altimax snows on an es300, pirelli scorpian and ice on an lx470 and blizzakws-70’s i believe on an rx350, i will have to say my favorite tire is the pirelli. The general is great in snow, but very soft and the car seems very squirmy on the highway, the blizzaks are great, but wear quickly, the pirellis are a harder tire, but i guess that s good cause the lx weighs a ridiculous amount. To be honest, i think everyone should get snow tires, its a night and day difference. And someone should tell those people in those gigantic suv’s and pickups who drive like maniacs in snow to relax, they may have 4wd, but i can gurantee you i will be stopping a lot sooner then they will.
Lol, I couldn’t even get to do a doughnut with my Hakkas
I pulled in to the parking lot and work and saw plenty of open space, so I tried to spin the back end and I just sped up like the roads were dry. So I just admitted defeat and went to my parking spot -.- I didn’t want to push my luck and have the tires hook up mid nut then plow through the shop or front office. That would be quite embarassing imo.
i switched up my set up… went front 245/40/19 LM25’s to 225/45/19 LM25’s on the G and 215/45/18 LM-22 on my S14
studded hakkas were amazing friday morning. our whole entire street was just pure ice and i couldn’t even tell while driving.
however it still is mostly just ice. thanks cheektowaga for salting :picard:
Caliver have those
Pirelli Sottozero’s. I like them better than anything else I’ve ever had before.
I bought sotto’s off a member and they seem pretty good but i haven’t tested them in any deep snow.
Using Blizzaks on MSW rims. Just got them on… Thanks Jason:tup:
