What's everyone running for winter tires this year?

Ha, I will be sure to take it easy, but my blacktop is not that great anyways.

I found a site with reviews of the Green Diamonds:

Funny thing is, I haven’t even put them on my wife’s car yet. But they’ll be going on this weekend and we’ll see how they handle the winter. My wife’s commute is 3 miles round trip, I wouldn’t even bother putting snows on her car if the city of Syracuse actually attempted to plow our street. But they don’t, it’s absolutely pathetic.

i think i have to roll my fenders. my tires are rubbing when i get into boost and when i hit a pot hole! not cool!!

Update on these tires: Took a small highway stroll for about 15 miles and was surprised at how quiet they were for a snow tire. Much quieter than my Michelin Alpin’s. We’ll see how they do in the snow once it eventually comes. Syracuse has been consistently about 5 degrees warmer than Buffalo so the forecast this week shows a chance of some mixed precipitation but no snow accumulation at least for the next 10 days right now.

Just got a set of these Friday morning. Went to to Discount Tire.com. $ 666.00 delivered. Think I’m gonna like em’.

I think it’s gonna be a bit of a wait. I got my pile of shit running Sunday in anticipation of snow and it looks like nothing for a while.

Hope everyone has wintermode enabled. Mother nature is gearing up to take a big white shit on us Thursday/Friday.

Down in Corning NY we are getting some VERY WET snow as i type…

Both vehicles are rockin snows. Bring it on!

Haha wintermode enabled. Fuck I am SO not in the mood to deal with snow.

Living in South Buffalo means I get up an hour early to shovel my car out before work, then leave for work early because the ride to Amherst takes twice as long, then work all day watching the window and seeing a foot of snow pile up on my car. Drive home, which takes twice as long. Get home, snowblow/shovel for two hours. You get one hour to yourself before you’re so goddamn tired that you go to bed only to do it all over again. FML

Oh yeah, and a lot of those times there’s no snow up in Amherst and my northtowns co-workers constantly ask, “What snow?”

^ Bought it at the end of last season and got to ride it once before the snow melted, so I can’t WAIT for snow this year.

Congrats fellow cat owner.

Kumho KW19’s which make the DD pretty much unstoppable.

I ran the winter sport m2’s as my first set of snows on the gto and didn’t like them at all. Hopefully they made some changes for the M3’s.

I also had a set of Dunlop winter sport M2’s or M3’s (1997 Prelude) i don’t remember which its been a few yrs. I also did NOT like them one bit. In fact i like the cheap Sams/Walmart snows MUCH better.

I think the wintersports, at least the M2’s I had, were geared way too much toward “sport” and not enough toward “winter”.

I would agree. I’ve never been back to a “speed rated” snow tire. Seams Bass Ackwards to me?
