ok with winter approaching I wanted to get my fiance some solid winter tires.
I’ve heard great things about the Ipike from hankook
I remember there was a GB on a crazy winter tire last year but i forgot the brand and model
Any suggestions ? from experience…
Hey man Ive had good luck with my Nokian Hawkepelita tires on snow they are totally a predictable tire-my 2 cents
i’ve always thought Nokians were the best…
i’ve driven on alot and any major brand that has been around a while all feel pretty similar.
It isn’t like you’re tracking them, they just need to cut through the snow effectively 15 times a year and thats it

hakkas - end of story.
I had some dunlop winterforce lasty winter and switched to hakkas and the hakkas were way better. One complaint was even for a snow tire on dry pavement the hakkas were really bad on turns and acceleration. Hakka r’s IIRC,

my bridgestone ws60’s were pretty good, still.
Hakkas are awesome and so is Muskoka.
I have Hakka Q’s I think, and I absolutely dominated the roads of Syracuse this past winter.
Nokian Hakkapeliitta stretched on battles FTW lol
found them cheap on kijiji brand new
and at the time only had the battles as my 17inch rims
these worked out better than 08 winters setup with 185/65r15 winters on stock 7spokes
really good winter tire, i’d run them again

I think I’ll switch to Hakkas this year after hearing all the hype. I’ve ran Blizzaks in the past so I’ll have something good to compare them to.
my blizzaks haven’t given me any issues but they’re also the only snow tires i’ve used.
Just wondering where everyone gets there Hakkas? I have done a little searching and this is the cheapest for my tire size I could come up with online.

Last season is the first time I even heard of these tires and thats just from being on this forum so I wouldn’t know what I would expect as far as pricing goes for local stores. I imagine online is a tad cheaper.

Blizzaks are great too. I rolled Blizzaks until Nokian updated the Hakka design.
i have always heard great things about Hakka’s…and have had realyl good luck with my blizzaks so they seem the front runners…my friend at work had Dunlops and he said they were pretty bad
i think u can run studs up there cause in the bay we can, want ever u do don’t get hankook’s i-pike they suck the before that i ran michelin something’s and they were fucken awesome.
