Sometimes I wonder why I even respond to these posts but here I go. As I have said before and I will say it again please call me before you spread rumors that have no basis.
Seeing I run the DeNooyer Performance Division I think I would know.
First let me clarify a few things. The DeNooyer Performance Division on Central Ave is actually 3 companies in one. We have a detail department that cleans all the used cars for the “Big” Chevrolet store on Wolf Road, We also have a used car lot that now sells “cheaper” less expensive cars, I also sell, distribute, and deliver the HTR and Motion Models that Howard builds at Redline and we distribute through the DeNooyer performance Division . Hope that clarifies that “rumor”
Second…Just so the record is clear the DeNooyers and Howard Tanner both own the “Motion” line we are launching at the Super Chevrolet show and Barrett Jackson in the next few weeks…Currently there are articles in Hotrod, Hemmings Muscle Machines and Gm High tech that “Fully” explain the partnership and the direction we both are taking.
I currently have two offices. One at the DeNooyer Performance Division and one at the big Chevrolet store on wolf road. The relationship with Redline Motorsports and Howard Tanner is the way it has always been…A partnership. http://www.officialbaldwinmotion.com/modern.htm
I have no idea where you get some of this stuff. But it does not take a rocket scientist to see the partnership…we have 3 websites…www.denooyerperformancedivision.com www.officialbaldwinmotion.com and Howard has www.redline-motorsports.net They all CLEARLY show the connection…
Hope that clarifies a few things.

BALDWIN-MOTION CARS WILL BE ON DISPLAY FOR SUPER CHEVY SHOW KICK-OFF IN PALM BEACH

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (March 22, 2011) - The 2011 Super Chevy Show series presented by GM Performance Division will kick-off at Palm Beach International Raceway, April 8-10.
The best news: This year, Chevy fans have a front row seat at the Toyo Tires display, where original Baldwin-Motion cars will be on exhibit. Not only will you be able to see the cars up-close-and-personal, but you will also have the opportunity to meet-n-greet Joel Rosen, “Mr. Motion” himself and creator of the original Baldwin-Motion cars. Joining Rosen will be Howard Tanner, President of Redline Motorsports.
Tanner explains, “Redline Motorsports is bringing two significant cars to the show. The first is a 2011 HTR-850R Super Car Camaro. This car is one of my personal cars and was the “mule” car that was used for development to launch the Motion Performance cars. This car had won a top 10 out of 900 cars at the 2010 SEMA show in a big field of high end cars.” (http://www.redline-motorsports.net/2010/10/redline-heading-to-sema-2010/)
It also has been featured in several national magazines with a big spread next month in GM High Tech Performance Magazine. Toyo has specifically asked that we bring the car as they are having the cars at their display.
The other car is the launch of the Motion Performance cars. The car we are bringing is a 2011 Phase III 427 SC Camaro. The car is Joel Rosen’s personal car and car number one of the build program. Joel is the guy responsible for Baldwin-Motion cars that were built back in the late 60’s that were a joint venture between a Chevrolet dealership (Baldwin Chevrolet) and a performance shop (Motion Performance).
“My company (Redline Motorsports) had started a similar program a couple years ago with DeNooyer Chevrolet here in Upstate NY. Who would have thought that we would have intersected with Joel all these years later and taken on being the “muscle behind Motion” in the modern day!” added Tanner with excitement.

“It’s going to be cool to have both Joel and my car at the display. Ours is an interesting connection and has gapped a 42 year span. Both Joel and I will be attending the show as well.”
Tanner is also building the 2011 Camaros that will be at the show. He says, “Every 2011 MOTION Camaro will be built to order at Redline and tuned by me on our 1,400 horsepower DYNOmite dynamometer. Our Baldwin-Motion Fantastic Five truly captures the spirit of what Joel Rosen did in 1967-1974.”
Joel “Mr. Motion” Rosen is honored to take part in this year’s Super Chevy Show kick-off at Palm Beach. “I’m incredibly excited to be taking delivery of the first 2011 MOTION Camaro, an 800-horsepower 427-SC Supercharged Supercar, at the Super Chevy Show. It’s the place to be for Chevy enthusiasts in Florida.”
To represent the history of Baldwin-Motion vehicles, Joel Rosen has invited Steve Calamusa and his 1970 Baldwin-Motion SS454 Chevelle to attend the event.
According to a recent article published by Martyn Schorr, Steve’s Baldwin-Motion Chevelle is a Phase III and was heavily optioned with drag racing in mind. The Phase III Chevelle was equipped with an LS-7 block with open-chamber aluminum-heads, L-88/ZL-1 cam, Edelbrock high-rise manifold with an 850-cfm Holley double-pumper and competition-style fenderwell headers. This Chevelle is one of only a few race-ready Baldwin-Motion Phase III SS-454 Chevelles built in 1970, according to Schorr.
Steve Calamusa has owned his Baldwin-Motion Chevelle for nearly thirty (30) years and told us, "I feel very lucky to own such an incredible piece of muscle car history built by performance icon, Joel Rosen.” Calamusa went on to say, “The raw performance of my Baldwin-Motion Chevelle is hard to describe and has left numerous passengers speechless.”
"Those lucky enough to have the opportunity to own a new Baldwin-Motion Camaro will never forget the experience.” he added.
Adrian Puente from Toyo Tires will be in attendance and will accompany Joel Rosen signing autographs in the Toyo Tires display at the event.
“Toyo Tires is excited to have two significant Baldwin-Motion cars, and their creator Joel Rosen, in our display booth at the Super Chevy Show in Palm Beach,” said Stan Chen, manager of events and motorsports, Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. “The Baldwin-Motion name is synonymous with GM muscle car performance since the 1960’s. The Toyo Proxes name is synonymous with performance and it is great to be able to showcase Proxes tires on both cars for this event.”
