What's the most expired food you ate?

Random thread.
What’s the most past the expiration date food you ever ate?

Just drank some OJ expired in 10/17/11. Inside was covered in mold… Shame I didn’t see that before I drank it… Assumed it was fresh 'cause we just bought some.
I’m deciding if it’s going to be coming back up or not. I also just ate half a dozen hot hot hot wings, so I don’t know if it’s the OJ or wings that’s not sitting well in my stomach ;x

I’ve ate some pretty expired stuff before… some ham that was moldy that I didn’t see until after I started eating it (and ate a sandwich or two).
Moldy bread I still eat if I don’t have any fresh… just scrape it off.

Who else has ate some nasty old food and lives to tell it?

i don’t even drink milk after the sell by date. call me a pussy but if something is bad i eat something else

So you check the sell by date before you eat everything?
I don’t drink old milk either… Or anything for that matter if I notice it.

i smell a lot also. if it smells funny feels slimy i don’t touch it. and if it has a date i go by that. had bad food poisoning a long while back and i will never let that happen again

Ive purposely eat cottage cheese that was a month pass due with no ill effects.

Cottage cheese and yogurt last a while Mike, I’ve had really old yogurt.

I’ll drink milk as long as it tastes ok. I think the longest was about 2 week after the sell by date. I’ve had turkey that I keep frozen for over 1 year. As long as it doesn’t smell or taste weird I eat it. Zing

I personally can’t remember, but a friend of mine ended up in the hospital after eating a 3 day old garbage plate (non refrigerated). I believe he thought it was from the previous night, but can’t say for sure.

ive had a loaf of bread from walmart last a month past the sell by date…and milk about 3 weeks.

I’ve cooked refrigerated bacon that was about 7 months past it’s use date. I smelled it before I cooked it and it smelled fine. I figured that there is so much salt involved with bacon that it would preserve itself.

Tasted fine and no ill effects.

I believe this happens every time you eat a garbage plate. LoL

I drank expired concentrate orange juice a while back. It was carbonated and tasted like liquid plastic. It almost made me instantly vomit and was the most rancid thing I’ve ever drank.

Hmmmmm…Ate some moldy cheese a few years back. Apparently it wasnt supposed to be moldy. Oh well. Tasted like good moldy cheese to me lol. As for the milk ferries. Grow a pair. Bad milk= good yogurt lol.

LOL guys, I ate Parmesan cheese that was like 2 years past the date once. I’m sure at some point I’ve eaten something really old, but my memory sucks. lol

Oh yeah, and I’m the king of the whole order a pizza eat part of it and let it sit on the kitchen table for three days then finish it. It goes against everything I know about food safety but for some reason I still do it. haha

Thats the best way to eat pizza after you eat it once! ha-ha.
I made pancakes that were expired for about a year and half! They tasted like it was a brand new mix!

You guys are fucking pussies. I ate some apple cinnamon rice krispies in 2006 that expired in 94. Fuck, I bet people here are too young to even remember those ever even existing.

When I was little I had quite a few bad experiences.

I ate a powdered doughnut i found in the cupboard to find it was never a powdered doughnut.

I found cinnamon gram crackers , then all the cinnamon grew legs and started walking.

So now I check the sell by date on EVERYTHING before I eat it.

One time I ate most of a bag of doritos (non-expired).
I couldn’t figure out why they kept sticking to my lips…
Or why there were ants all over me.
Then I found out that the bag was filled with ants.

I will eat processed food that expires but fresh stuff like natural orange juice and milk I tend to avoid.

I’ve drank 15 year old scotch many times

One time xwalkerx ate a pizza that had been sitting on the kitchen counter for 3 days. He picked it up, put it on its side, and sawed it in half with a steak knife

2 days ago I guy I work with put mayo on his sub that expired in 2009 and ate it. No ill effects so far.

True story.

Edit: Honest to god I wrote this reply without reading any others. I would not have used “ill effects” had I known so many other people already had used it. I thought I was being clever but I guess not.
