No offense to Derrick employees, but I am sure the drinking and driving situation is much worse with blue collar factory workers than it is with white collar places. I’m willing to bet those guys can REALLY drink.
I guess my company used to have an open bar xmas party but it got so out of control that now the owner just increased the xmax bonuses and stopped doing any sort of company sponsored event. We’re a white collar company full of borderline (and a couple way across the border) alcoholics though. We did our own thing a couple years ago and one single employee ended up going home with a married employee (who’s husband was out of town).

The company my husband works for used to have awesome Christmas parties until a couple people left drunk and ended up being killed and killing someone else in the process. They haven’t had a party in over 15 years.
