:nod GM should have imported it sooner, the Monaro was produced from 01-05 we had the GTO from 04-06, it was a few years late to the party.
I’m more of an Import fan, but I don’t mind some domestics’s. I’m just not a huge fan of vetts rockin out black with ploished lip wheels and so on. Today I saw a GTO with plate relocated to the left, lowered, and black with polished lip wheels. To me in my eyes that just looks like a wanna be import.
I agree. I think it would have made a kick ass replacement for the fbod if they had spent more time ironing out some of the short comings like wheel hop (IRS), gas tank taking up most of the trunk (US crash standards), and prematurely worn out suspension bits (from crappy shipping methods). They’re heavier than fbods, but ride 10x better and are more rigid. Also the 05/06 had LS2s :nod
The new Pontiac G8s are imports from down under as well. I think they’re nice looking inside and out and will certainly haul ass with an LS3 under the hood. I’m a 2-door guy though so I’ll stick with the goat.
