The HPs are pretty good. You could even just get a netbook for like $300. Unless you absolutely need a balls to the wall laptop, $1000 iz 2 much.

I have heard that there are companies, who when you purchase a laptop as well as a warranty through them, they cover situations where the laptop may be accidentally damaged. In which case they either repair the laptop or credit the amount you paid for it towards a new one.
My spending limit is currently around one thousand dollars, so anything up to that point is fine. My main uses for the laptop will be for internet browsing, e-mail, etc… I do not plan to play video games.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
