Wheel Spacer/Adapter

So… my father got his 15 inch cragar s/s’s.

Well, the offset is uber gay, and isnt allowing the spokes to clear the calipers…so… he cant put them on.

He already went to K&S to get spacers…the 1/2" spacers are too small.

He doesn’t wanna go any bigger than 1/2 spacers. He wants wheel adapters.

such as these… http://www.wheeladapter.com/wheel_adapters_and_wheel_spacers.asp

i dont know if all of you guys know what they are but basically…its a spacer that bolts to the hub, and has seperate lugs that the rims would go on.

he needs either 3/4" or 1" ones.

can anyone here get them?

or is he gonna have to order offline and wait?

Thanks a ton duders, from both me and him

How much of the caliper would he have to trim off?

well a half inch spacer still isnt clearing it. :bloated:

Summit Racing Mag, said this was the offset he needed and everything.

So who knows. Hes gonna talk to his buddy who has the same year with the same rims and see wtf he did to make them work.

Can he send the wheels back for the correct offset?

no smartass. after the 1/2 spacer is placed on the hub, how much material would have to be taken off the caliper. Sometimes all you need is a little grind time to make your wheels fit

i didnt mean to sound like a smartass :frowning: sorry

it doesnt matter, he bought some adapters from jan-cen.

but now the tires are rubbing the front fenders a little, so he had to go and get smaller than the 60 series tires on the front.

this is costing him soo much

but hes a balla so it dont matta haha

ill get pics up later today if this rain stops

rain just stopped and the sun’s pokin’ through here (north part of Amherst) so you might be able to take pics pretty soon.

And perhaps he should have measured the radius (center of hub to outer edge of the caliper) so he would know how big of a clearance to look for. Too late for that now though…lol

perhaps now they are on and fit fine…
