Where can I buy a big block of styrofoam???

I want to get started on my Halloween costume and I need a big block of Styrofoam to carve and then fiberglass over to make a very important piece to my costume. Where can I get something that is probably 3 cubic feet, and is easy to carve. Maybe like that green Styrofoam that is in the bottom of fake flower pots that holds the fake flowers in.

that place on military that makes the foam for lancaster speedway, im sure they have something

Do you know the name of it?

not off hand i dont, sorry

pink sheets at home depot.

cut 1 sheet into the size squares you need and glue them together as a lamination.

you can make the basic shape you need easily this way… then carve the details

I need to make a helmet, so I was either thinking using a ball and fiberglass off that or make the shape out of foam and fiberglass over that.

bigblocksofstyrofoam.com

colonial foam on harlem south of william

just order some 2-part foam, make a mold of said helmet and go.

Thermal foams … there on Kenmore ave

Sounds good, I will look into it.

the resin will eat the foam resulting in a nice big mess.

just go to lancaster and take some that they throw out there is usually some good size pieces.

floral foam works decent for making molds.

I already thought of that, plastic or rubber should work.
