Just wondering, where can you buy new turbos, such as a t25 or t28, locally or from a respectable place. I been trying to look for places online but cannot seem to find any. thanks! (not too sure if this is the right section for this… but move it if you need to.)

i received notice 2 days ago that Garrett is raising the prices on all of their turbos for the second time this year. the amount of the price increase was not communicated exactly but i have been advised that it could be upwards of 10%
i regularly do GT2871R’s and 3076Rs for guys all over the country.
also mark,
i noticed you didnt specify new or used in your wtb thread.
i’d always advise buying new.
firstly, you get a warranty. i have had to take advantage of a warranty myself and so has one of my customers out east.
used turbos obviously have no guarantee, jesse just blew up what was said to be a new turbo but he bought second hand = total loss of hundreds of dollars.
i bought an S14 T28 of a reputable dude on SON last year and it lasted me 3 months = waste of $500.
then i spent $1400+ on a 2871R, it blew right away, but i got a new one in a couple weeks = profit.
So I should buy the .86 GT35R that I want for next season now?
hahaha… its already too late, all purchases from now on are at the new pricing as far as i know.
why would you need anything bigger than a 3076R anyways?
600rwhp isnt enough?
I only have the 71mm gt30.
I’m kidding anyways about the gt35r. I’m going to see how well I can do with this little guy first.
i never said it was new, it was a fresh rebuild and it has a waranty.
Anyone who is a Garrett Dealer… Their are 2 in Kitchener…
Rudy Helds & Markham Performance. I’ve spoke with the dude @ Rudy Helds and he said you can exchange your Core for a new one etc etc but I only spoke with him breifly on the matter.
yeah whereever you get it, make sure the warranty policy is clear.

While on the topic of acquiring turbos.
Anyone can get Turbonetics units? Preferablly the T3/T04E series? :dunno:
i only do garrett through precision… maybe phil can hook u up
Looks like these are the only Canadian dealers of Turbonetics:
ALAMO INDUSTRIES LTD.
5225 6th Street, N.e., Bay 30
Calgary AB Canada
(403) 274-6211MOPAC AUTO SUPPLY, INC.
7635 King George Highway
Surrey BC Canada
(604) 596-6722TURBO EXPERT
2350 Rue Watt, Suite # 100
Sainte - Foy PQ Canada
(418) 687-0799
those might be major cdn distributors, but i am sure many others can get them… Keystone lists Turbonetics in their catalogues.
T3/T4E stage-3 is $1382.61 + TAX + some bitch tax they usually add on
for ordering for you.
I’m looking at almost $1700-$1800CAD after? :noes:
Yes G, I can get that turbo, I deal with turbonetics.
And don’t worry, your end price will be well under $1300 + tax.
PM me if interested.
