So I have to buy two computers
they need 1gb ram
100+gb hard drive
floppy drive
ethernet card
CD burner
I need 1 external hard drive for the one
and 1 new monitor
the budget is less than $1000 per computer

vista is a double edged sword.
its the new OS on the block, so it might have issues. XP has been around and is stable. both are MS so both kinda suck in general.
thats a decision i would leave up to your boss. indeminification is key here

5150’s are all we build in this office. It’s USB only, but they are reliable enough.
