yikes, good luck, id just have some1 who knows whats going on with welding alum

its workin good for me so far. i just had a bad experience with having someone else welding my stuff so thats y i want to do it myself

yea, sometimes its hard to get people to put full effort into welding aluminium … even a reputable shop can wind up screwing up what u want done

even the simplest aluminium job can come out fucked up cough - tabs on an intercooler-cough

i would love to see how well alumiloy works on things that vibrate tho … cause your basicly just soldering things together with it …

Looks like you haven’t found the right shop or spoke with the right person. I treat every customer project and vehicle if it were my own. Nothing gets hacked and no corners get cut.

On the Allumaloy I have never seen it locally at any welding shop and I go to Rodgers, Strait and also Mills so that covers pretty much everyone locally. They used to have a website but I can’t find it now. Maybe they went out of business and the stuff on ebay is what is left. I would be interested to see how the tensile strength stacks up to a good TIG weld. If you purchase some I would like to buy a rod or two from you to try it out. Because it does look too good to be true especially with only using the heat from a propane torch

yea im goin to buy a poud of it if i cant get it around here and u get 20 rods in a pound so i would not mind givin u some

Even a half rod, just enough to but weld 2 1/4" alum plates to see actually how strong it is. Let me know when you get it. I would be interested to see how it works in person
