Just make sure the hinge side is plumb, level, straight, etc and mount it first. The rest is easy.
yeah, you’re right for the most part. I just hate it when the molding isn’t perfectly parallel with the walls/ceiling. It bugs the shit out of me.
I put up a chair rail molding in my last place. I installed it level for ~10ft run. It looked HORRIBLE. It was off by about an inch(floor to bottom of molding) at each end.
yea i know what you mean, it happens in a lot of houses
if you dont run it level, then the homeowners complain, if you run it unlevel the homeowners complain
like we did a bathroom, and the ceiling was crooked as fuck, but the tiles on the bathroom were run straight still. it would look worse if you cut the tiles on an angle, but the home owner didnt understand that.
so we had to RE-TILE the top row, on an angle, and then she said “oh lord, that looks worse” No fucking shit stupid cunt, we told you that in the first place
So we shimmed the drywall on the ceiling to close the gap a little bit.
Everything was “oh my god, but it seems like you’re trying to cover something up”
yes. crown does that
yes baseboard does that
yes shoe does that
No fucking shit. Go away.
i h8 stupid homeowners
/rant
lol
you’ve gone and lost it, boy
