i’m looking to run a max of 10-12 psi for the time being, so i’m not sure if running the aem 3.5 bar would be necessary. but i cant seem to find the 2 bar sensor that aem used to offer anywhere. id rather stay away from the gm map sensors if possible. any input/advice? thanks
i was hoping for something that AEM has already tested and has all the scalars and filters set up for. i did find a few sites that offer the AEM 2 bar, but its around 150 bucks as well. this is something id rather not cheap out on, but a $50 gm 2 bar is looking pretty tempting right about now.
You would be crazy not to purchase the GM 2 bar MAP sensor. They are very durable and a lot of aftermarket FI systems use or are based on the GM/Bosch MAP sensors. Also the calibration charts are readily available online to convert the 0-5v output from these sensors
Plus if you are only planning on running 10-12 psi you don’t want a 2.5 or 3 bar MAP sensor because you will only lose resolution
