Yeah, I considered the 993TT or 996, but the purchase cost of a decent one is still about $70K, plus just owning a car, and not really wrenching on it to “upgrade” it is really no fun. Half the fun is making the thing faster. I know I’m fucking old and gray, but Arthritis hasn’t set in yet.

Yeah the porsches people want, 993TT, 996TT, 993 C4s, are going to cost you over 60K or more than double what the initial cost of a nice z06 or m3 goes for.

The price of said M3 or Z06 is around 30K, show me a 996 TT for that in similar shape and im sure x would jump on it.

If you spend 30K in mods on a z06 it will spank a 996 TT. It will be a monster. 996 will be more tame but a better driver and track car.
Xander, if you can swing it I can help you find a 996TT for low 50’s, or if you wait a year or two, mid 40’s.

i would take the 996 over the highway pulling mon-star for the same dollar amount.
the m3 and its creature comforts would be totally wasted on a weekend warrior, and the vette is just played out like the transmarro… but i know how X loves those satin jackets
