White Water Rafting??

I haven’t been in YEARS, and I’d like to go…

Just trying to gauge interest if anyone else would like to get a group trip going?

where to down in cambridge or catskill’s?

so we do a 2 and a 3 thats like a five right ?

I went yesterday
It was alot of fun

This stuff sounds unsafe and crazy.

Where do I sign up?

They say that the Black River near Watertown is awesome… 70+ degree water & class III & IV rapids…

When I went rafting on the Hudson northeast of Blue Mountain Lake, it was mid March, and the water was 35*, and it snowed that day. But, with the wetsuit on, I was sweating my balls off, even when I fell out & floated downstream for like 5 minutes… :tong

This is what I was thinking about:

This reminds me of that movie without a paddle. :lol

River Guide: So, are you a class 4,5?

Tom: Yeah?

River Guide: So which one are you?

Tom: Why don’t you try to put those numbers together. Yeah. I shot a class 45, and haven’t lost a man yet.

River Guide: Lie to me, I don’t care. I’m not the one who’s going to drown.

I assume it takes up the entire day, and it’s available on weekends.

Not counting food and getting there what do these events usually run? Any sort of training necessary prior? Any equipment you need to own?

you can go for like an hour on the sacendaga river
or like 6 hours (17 miles) on the hudson. The hudson is class 3 and 4 rapids. thats what im doing in 2 weeks.

Dates vary by month.

And the link I posted has info on cost, and says that the price includes a snack on the river & cookout afterwards…
