Whitehouse smacks down RIAA-backed copyright bill

pretty much, the RIAA wants the feds to start prosecuting potential P2P users in civil suits.

way to go bush admin… first thing they’ve done in a LONG time that doesn’t make you want to :picard:. My hats off to them

:bigblap:
even a blind squirrel…

Or a broken clock…

RIAA is just pissed that their industry and business practices are failing and want help.

That’s helpful, for that.

Intellectual property bill passes in the House

:picard:

UGH

gay. bipartisan too, with about an equal number of dissenters on both sides. Good news is that it won’t do shit. If they really want to stop piracy they can 1.) Lower their prices, 2.) Get rid of DRM, and 3.) Stop screwing their own customers.

you can see who voted for it in the house

however, I find it very ironic that the senate voting wasn’t recorded  I mean, don’t we have a right to know who voted for what? This country is going to hell in a handbasket
