The motherboard went on my old laptop a while back. I took it apart to get the # of the motherboard (2 different ones were used). Never bought the motherboard nor put it back together.
I still have everything. Motherboards last time I checked (last year) were like ~$80 on ebay.
can anyone reassemble this for a reasonable price? laptops are cheap so I don’t necessarily want to shell out $300 repairing this thing that I bought in 2005
HP laptops are kind of a PITA. GL finding someone to do it cheap. I’d say it’s probably not worth it IMO. I have 2 old HP laptops here that I was going to fix…just don’t have the time or energy to bother with them. LOL.
The big thing with laptops is keeping the screws organized and be gentle with the plastic retaining clips.
I think I suggested that in the original post way back. If it’s the laptop I’m thinking of anyhow. Goes back quite a bit tho and my memory is limited…need to get an upgrade for my dome.
I’ve taken apart and put back together about 100 laptops in the last couple of years. If you have parts that will work when it’s re-assembled, I’d be glad to help out for a small price for my time
