Spray would be more even…if 12’s is what you run on spray.
Edit: oops! saw that was for someone else…but still the same.

oroc ilu bro. i need your tranz homez. throw in a brake while youre at it
I kinda meant on spray or motor for MikeRi24, I know I will need spray for you badgpgt
dont let him fool u, youre 3rd on his list, chuck is 4th :uhh:
he has it all hand written hidden under his mattress
I know I will need spray for you badgpgt
How did you know :snky: lol
sammmeee teeaaammm lol
lol same team indeed!
It’ll be perfect for you, th400, tranny brake, reverse manual valve body, stage 5 build, good for 1000+hp, maybe alittle too aggresive for a turbo car but for a nitrous car  and know i wanna put it on the rear bumper
oh…just call it a gut feeling lol
next time you’re on AIM let me know how much that ran ya. i figure ill need to launch at 3500-4000 on slicks, and a brake should get me up to at least 5psi. i hear it can be pretty expensive with converters and all the crap which you shouldn’t cheap out on
I have a turbo 400 with a brake but it needs to be rebuilt and its in Nova’s car right now. It’s great to have at the track but blows to have on the street. Bill just build a strong th400 without the brake and you’ll be happy both at the track and on the street.
CHOKO FROM A 60 roll… since I cant manage 1.3 60s on a bike

if i whack it with a 40 shot… i bet id pick up atleast 10 mph… im going to need you to bring a filling station if possible though, because we know how consistent i am…
oroc vs. choda/bighands
Ha ya definately not cheap but we’re high rollers so we can afford it a custom converter is 650-700 bux and a the built th400 can be 2-3k depending how wild u wanna go. The th400 isnt bad on the street unless your running a really tall gear, 4.10+. Turbo cars usualy go with 3.50 or under so your car will be awesome with it, and u must have a brake! They are unreal to launch with sooooooo fun!! If i were in your shoes i might go with a powerglide :pimp:
Mike
either “high rollers” or that hard core to go fast…
…Im neither, yet I spend more money than I should.
well powerglide was the plan to be honest. a guy with a similar setup on a smaller weaker engine setup and was running 9.0s at 15x with his glide. he still had a ton left in the setup. i want to say 3500 and daily driven
are they more expensive? keep in mind i would still swap back the T56 from time to time if i did this
ummm
Most people who run PG’s are high HP low weight…
Then they run a lot of gear/a lot of convertor…I don’t see that being your best option turbl0w
oh… okay back to the th400
lol. my knowledge of autos are,… not much
These days thats more of a myth sherm. In the olden days that used to be true that they are only to be used in lightweight cars because the converters werent what they are today, however you are right about the converter part, with a 1.82 first gear it will take a bit more to get it rolling, so a 4000-4500 stall is a must. With the amount of power that turbo has this wont even be an issue, leaving off a tranny brake at 4-4500 rpm he’ll be spooled enough to make it take off like a rocket. As you know first hand a 4000stall is still very streetable.
If he did choose a th400 it would be alot bigger challenge to launch and get traction with as they are way more aggressive. 90% of the guys running faster than 9.0s are all running powerglides, very few run th400s, they just cant keep the front end down.
Mike
PG’s and 400th/wbrake are ghey… But hey if all you plan on doing is taking the car to the track thats cool… Put a th400 in the car with a custom 10inch 2800-3500 stall
Thats just what I read/got from talking to people on LS1tech when I was thinking about other tranny options…
Whats wrong with wheelies???
