ABOUT drag racing, Did it for 2 years with my 500 dollar 91 talon. Best time was 13.040 with a 1.5second 60’ time. Truth be told i got board of it. But it was fun. AWD + 300hp = wide eyed corvette drivers.

I have now legally dragged with my N1 at Cayuga… it was easier than I thought… gotta remember green means go! LOL!
Yea ive dragged alot, not always my idea, always someone trying to say they won by showing their hazards, thats when i was like Hell know and showed them, some times they floor it befor i could get to them many times it was 3 beeps or from a dig and roll, all late at night when i used to go home from work, and on empty roads, for a while i had a sooped up 2000 montana, V6 you might laugh, but it tore down, celica GTS, 240sx, Teg-GSR’s, civic type -r , 1998 type subaru wrx, and many others, it had base 180 hp, and 210lbs tq, after my mom bought her mazda 6, i was like what the heck, so i dropped in a custom CAI, headers full cat-back exhaust, upgraded tranny, and custom cams, w/avd timming,ECU, the van was pushing 220 whp, and 265lbs tq.
I’ve also driven a ferrari enzo, m5’s and stuff, not here though, these were all my friends cars, damm rich guys,lol i owned a nissan suv at that time. Yet they are so cool with me still even though i drive shit econobox compared to them.lol
I’ve just about raced everything out there, and yes i have stopped not because people might think im a street racer, because majority of them out there are young immature kids, that can’t conrol or know the limits of their cars, and they are the one’s that get news headlines, and ive raced with the mature one’s, i.e those vipers and others big boy cars you see on the highway, and those guys are safe, they know their and others limits. But you never know when an idit might join in to cause a scence and an accident…
ive, had people racing me, when i was just trying to get in front of them to go on an on ramp to 401, these kind of idiots cause accidents.
but yea on the track is not safer, its just if you crash, you only kill yourself.
as a racer you are more likely to die on a track than on the street, and please don’t argue you know its true. Most professional racers as well if died during their career, died racing not on the street and we would be blind to think they didn’t have few maxed out toys in their garage for the streets.
you never push the limits of the car on the street even when you think you are because you stop within few seconds being scared of getting caught, on the track there are no limits, so you push it, untill something unfortunate happenes, track is also where many swaped and modifyed engines die on the regular.
I don’t want to sound like a jackass, but like everyone else i was young too, and the lust for racing usually won my sense, but i became really good at beating faster cars off the line, call it a cheat or trick up to you, when ever at a light and someone would rev up, and really want to go, id watch the white board under the traffic light in front, its the board which is white with black showing to pass the island to the right, at night time when the green light goes for the right and left turning cars you just watch that board, you can see the green shade of the traffic light on top of you which is showing green for the traffic in front of you making a turn, when that light changes to orange you see orange shade on that board, and when it turns red you floor it, by the time your tires grip the road you’ll launch exactly or millie second slower that when your lights turn green and you’ll be long gone, because the driver next to you will think your going on red, but he dosent know your trick, and that is 1 second difference between the opposite red lights. 3 second on the old lights or the ones that dont use separate turning lights.
