I have always loved my GM trucks. The drivetrain is the real difference maker in my opinion.
Text coming your way. -_-
I want a truck!
I just used one for my buddy who got a 2500 4x4 Denali diesel, sticker was 66k he paid 50k. Beautiful truck.
Guys a few things to remember when leasing.
2 year lease is cheaper then a 3 year lease, miles! 10K vs 12k vs 15k… upping from 10-12k will be about $20 a month, 10-15k is about 50k a month. Options! options jump the price quick, all star edition +$50 a month, z71? +$50 a month.
If you want all that stuff great, but expect to pay for it.
A lease is supposed to cover the depreciation of the vehicle over the term of the lease plus a little profit.
I have a '12 sierra 2500 LML Duramax. The newer chassis and front suspension is very nice and the LML is strong. Dual alternators, air bags, etc. Dash says 12.1 mpg but I’m hoping it goes up after I gut the emission stuff.
My boss drives a Denali duramax
Average of 11mpg…
I’ve also been looking at trucks but with that for mpg I might just get a gasser

i love my truck
Just sold my 335xi and kept my rusted '02 Sierra. Trucks are just too damn useful.
I’ve had my 2011 RAM for just shy of 4 years now, has 99k miles on it. Bought it with 8k miles. It is a hemi/5speed/2wd/3.55 gears rcsb express with 20" wheels. I avg anywhere between 19-22mpg all around depending on how much of it is highway. The hemi is tuned for 89 from the factory, computer detunes it when 87 is put in. (At least that’s what the paperwork said in 2011 model).
The truck has been pretty good. I’ve done tires, brakes (once), tie rod ends, upper balljoints(my fault for screwing them up) and the usual routine maintenance of oil changes/filter/intake cleaning/spark plugs. I don’t know if the new ones are any different but my 5.7 hemi is recommended interval of 30k for spark plugs(16 of em). I don’t care for the MDS so I usually turn it off but I understand it’s less noticeable with the newer transmissions. Mine has the same transmission as the 3rd gen 3/4 ton trucks.
Overall I really like this truck, I looked at everything out there and the main reason I went with it is I could get 400/400 HP/TQ in a basically base model truck where I didn’t have to spend a ton of money on a higher optioned package. Drives nice, tows great stops great. The only thing that may get me out of this truck is that I miss having a standard transmission.
Was just back in NY for work. Snagged a new Tundra in the Emerald Club row. I officially want one now. So nice.
My dad has had Tacos over the years and that is short on my list too. We’ll see what’s next down the line. I value MPG too much here in CA to make the switch at this point in my life.
Plus, if I got a Taco in CA it’s mandatory to get a monster energy sticker and a front lift kit with Baja fender flares. Shits so ridiculous out here with the Glamis bro’sssss.
Calling them tacos is a pretty ‘SoCal-bro’ thing in and of itself…
mhmm, taco’s.
But yes, you are totally right.
I’m hungry.
Yah i had to think about what the gay phrase ment. Too hip for me.
Then you can go chase the dune poon. Helps if you keep your dirt bike in the back.
holy crap it’s been that long. I remember when you had the s10
Hahaha, yesss dune poon. I love it.
Dirt Bike in the back of the Taco helps pull the dune poon for sure.
The taco thing still bothers me lol, its not even a full size truck!
id like to think that I have the best of both worlds with my c10
some would prob disagree coming from a safety standards point of view but I really do love my old truck
^ Does anyone that rides a motorcycle really concern themselves that much about car/truck cash ratings?
