11s are easily doable and near that MPG without motor work in a lot of imports.
Not the cars fault, its yours, should be running high 12’s, getting 20+mpg and be driven anywhere. Needs a tune…

Ill still rock a domestic getting 10mpg over a import getting 50…just me.
Get rid of it and get something else. You should enjoy it more than worry about it man.
what do you get city driving though?? not here to start any fights but you have to admit imports (4cyl) have alot goin for them, and if gas wasnt so damn expensive I’d drive old v8, but alas its probably gonna be $5 a gallon so I’m gettin a nice civic.

I got 18 city with beating it alot. And yea a DD grocery getting will get better mileage than a sportscar, i would hope so at least lol
Id really like to at this point but Ive got too much into it and owe money on a loan I took out for stuff I had done to it and I couldnt break even.
Besides nobody wants a car that doesnt run and drive good.
Yeah but I dont even think the car is good enough to tune right now. Im thinking something is wrong with the motor because of the way it was running yesterday. It ran better before I blew the clutch and its definately not a clutch issue now.
The logic is as you said, you like what you like and i am willing to accept the worse gas mileage to drive something that I enjoy. Not going to pay to put gas in something that gets better mileage only to be furious everytime i turn the key cause i hate the pos
Do a leakdown test on it, might have a dead cyl or somethin. Check it out. Matt found out that sloths #2cyl is damn near dead.
Seems like ya never break even. Get the car running and sell it if your uncomfortable and unhappy. It’s not worth it if you the cons outweigh the pros.

i never said to get a car you hate, I really like the new civic si’s and they get great gas mileage, thats all I need, somthing I like, great gas mileage is just a huge plus.
If I could get it running right without breaking Im sure Id start to like it again. Its just the constant issues I need to get worked out that bug the shit out of me.
My plan for this year after the 5 speed swap (already done) was to just drive it and have some fun with it without putting anything else into it for a while. So much for that.
Right but me personally, i hate imports, just my preference, like domestics and always will. I like looking at imports and seein shit people do with them but you wont see me driving one. I respect fast imports and yada yada, just not my cup of tea…
