Who is planning on dynoing this spring?

Im getting antsy to see if all my winter mods payed off or not. 140 HP here i come. I think May would be a perfect time.

We were thinking of having 2 dyno sessions in the 2005 season. One in the spring time, one in the fall. What do you think?

I’ll be dynoing for sure.

I voted yes. I have a lot of uninstalled mods waiting to go on the car, so I’d be curious to see what gains’ll be made afterwards. I already know the baseline dyno numbers from other websites.

Hell, I’d even be curious to see what kind of power my Corvette puts to the wheels. Guys, if you ever get the chance to race a stock automatic '75-'79 Vette on the street and have a reasonably quick car…take the race. You’ll wipe some mullet-head’s greasy smile right off! My Spec V is faster STOCK than the Vette… Try 0-60 in 7.2 for the Spec vs. 8.5!! for the Vette. Especially the '76 cars w/ auto - 180hp. That’s it.

Sorry to go off on a diatribe here…beer’ll do that to you. But, you might as well thank me because you’ll notice there are no naked drunk kids in this post.

I’m into racing newer cars than my own.

i don’t think so

i won’t have anything new since last time. i mean nothing that would inprove my dyno chart

im in…here i come 320ps

IN

I might come up and dyno

I hear you about the old corvettes, I was under the impression they were super fast (well I guess they were back in their day), then I got to ride in an 83 auto…not too surprisingly fast after all. Another potential victim for the 240.

When I get myself a new vehicle, I’m in.

with my electric fan conversion and the addition of a cone filter ill be there aiming for 140 aswell HAHAHAHAHA

I got a few things to do but I will be down for sure …just have to choose again

You don’t have to pick a Nissan, remember.

Yeah, around '75 they started going all out with the emissions controls which really hurt the power. If you guys see an older one, especially with a split chrome rear bumper or side pipes, you probably don’t want to mess with it. Those 454 Vettes are nasty. But don’t worry, if you hit a corner it’s all over.

Maybe I should dyno my dad’s minivan. That thing is a BEAST! Well…not really.

Well, we’ll more than likely set it up first come first serve, or more like, first come, first downpayment

We should make a date in May or so… or even later???

im in just gotta tell me when. i wanna c very high numbers with the new install

I’m planning on spending a fair bit of time on the dyno at Apex tuning my car with wideband. With the mods I have I should be eclipsing 300whp and 400wtq if I can get it tuned well. I just may be “squeezing” the engine too…so I definitely do not want to be leaning out then.

im up for dynoing the 510 in the spring for some fine tuning of the dual webers and what kind of numbers im putting down.

i am also in on this one  here i come 300ps atleast! ca18 YAAA

hahaha

I should dyno my van. Probably over 300ft/lbs at 2000rpm and 150hp at 5000rpm.

lol, that would be awesome!

Heck, if there are too many people for the spring session, we’ll have to hold a 2 day event
